Yeah. They were "mad" about Bama. "Had a great week of practice" and were "looking forward to playing with passion and intensity" against Arkansas. Because, as we all know, "it'll get fixed."

13-9 in last 3 SEC seasons. Stop living in the past, I thought Bama fans did that.

I think SEC wins are the issue.

BeeFense has fallen off the wagon, you still hanging on Choc?
Much like miles offensive philosophy against bama, just keep banging your head against the wall and maybe something different will happen.

Damn. Now the pumpers are going to have to hate almost all of our "spoiled and entitled" players now.
All of this just confirms every complaint most of us have been saying for some time now. I mean, it's been obvious to anyone that doesn't have his head in the sand.

Anyone ever think this maybe the reason for the mad dash to the NFL a soon as players are able to leave? Could it not just about the money? Was it a feeling of why stay another year, not going to win any hardware?
Posted on 11/19/15 at 10:00 pm to joeytiger
Why would you give him next year? He earned it? Nah bro, he earned getting his a$$ fired or resigning. Can't make changes at half, won't get his goofy hat wearing a$$ out of the play calling. Recruits dual threat QBs for pro style offense? Really?

I don't doubt it. Most ex players don't make negative comments in public about former coaches to the media. Miles has had a couple take a few shots after they left like Reuben Randle and Will Blackwell. They've both made some comments about the same old shite on offense. If a couple have said it out loud then how many are thinking it but not saying anything out of respect for the program and future recruiting.

Heartfelt analysis from McFarland on the frustration level with fans across Louisiana and with ex players due to the lack of offensive development under Miles. He says LSU has 11, 12, 13 win talent and need not settle for 8,9,10 win seasons. It deserves a good listen and transcription to digest more than just these few excerpts. McFarland wants Miles to succeed but he has not and does not expect to see change.
Anthony McFarland bleeds P&G. He said it pains him and the ex-players and 90% of LSU fans that LSU has not evolved offensively from Miles' "archaic Bo Schembechler mentality of 3 yds and a cloud of dust". Miles wastes all the talent by not running a modern offense, playing in a phone booth that does NOT make a defense account for every player on the field, banging against a brick wall rather than spreading it out and letting Harris and the stable of receivers and backs cut loose and open the run game. He believes in Harris but sees that Miles/Cam put him in terrible situations with 3rd and long too many times in the ALA and ARK games: 12 of 25 were 3rd and 10, something even Joe Montana could not have done any better. (And the O-line admits pass protection has not been there all season).
If you look at Cameron's failure in Baltimore, his playcalling, long vertical passes on 3rd down, failure to develop Flacco over 5 yrs, reverting to low utilization of tempo/HUNH, and falling to a league low utilization of 3WRs+ sets, are among the dozens of reasons he was fired by Baltimore. The mish mash of Miles/Cam offense has the same flaws - too predictable. McFarland says that Miles is the common denominator year in and year out regardless of OC and something has to change.
He specifically pointed out that in the ALA game Miles thought he was going to bully the bully and run the ball against the best front 7 in the FBS without a plan B. He linked it to the NC game where he did the same thing, re ran the game plan from the Game of the Century without a plan B. Then he said LSU was far too talented to lose to ARK. Period.
McFarland wants Miles to succeed but he says that he has not brought in the right people like Saban (and Patterson) did and given them control. Recruiting services say every year that it is one of the most baffling phenomena in football that LSU can recruit such top local receivers and QBs and not throw the ball. He blames Miles for never changing.
Dupre said “If they were recruiting me and they told me they were going to give the ball to Leonard or the other running backs 75 percent of the time, it might be hard to get a recruit at the receiver position or quarterback position. But at the end of the day, we’re here. We’ve got to live with it. We’re doing the best that we can do blocking.” The team is frustrated with being stuck in scheme and philosophy where their talents are not utilized to also further their careers. The Heisman is a result not an objective. Winning at all costs is the objective.
When LSU scored at the end of the 1st half with 8 passes and one PI penalty to 4 different receivers it took 9 plays, 92 yds, and 3:31 seconds off the clock. There were 5 first downs and a penalty to stop the clock but it still took forever to get a play called. That is NO faster than LSU's 111th FBS season avg in 2013-14 of 2.3 plays per minute. So, not exactly an up-tempo HUNH or even a 2 minute offense.
When LSU came out after the Half vs ARK, Holly Rowe asked Les if he was going to stick with 'tempo and passing' that seemed to be working and Miles said no 'we have a nice mix of runs and passes planned'. Translation: We have to get Fournette his Heisman yards.
After the loss to ALA, Miles said the team was going to get more chances to block for Leonard. The Heisman campaign has fed Miles preference for run, run, run and has not help implement the promised explosive offensive 'balance and execution' promised by Miles and Cameron at the start of and during the season the past 2 yrs.
McFarland also pointed out that losing Chavis has hurt the defense. Chavis had a top 5 defense nationally and top in SEC with a higher scoring efficiency than the offense.
He closes with saying the whole country got to see that we could not run LF against ALA but Miles kept trying.

Booger has had issues with LSU ever since he got on TV. Way beyond coming across as being a homer. I've never heard him compliment LSU since he's been on the air.

Don't agree, nor is that his reputation. Booger is one of the absolute most objective voices on TV/radio (does both college and NFL shows) and has nothing but love for LSU. His m.o. is straight-talk, no hyperbole, no emotional reactions, and no attention-seeking commentary. If he's talking bad about his alma mater on the field, it is what it is.

and that is due to QB problems
Tom Brady couldn't move the team when his OL are being blown back into him and/or yelling ole' when the defense is flying by them into the backfield.
We lost these last two games by being badly dominated in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
