My man Milk Dud Head pulls no punches, and he is well-respected for it.

And this is not a product of experience and maturity...Booger has always been extremely intelligent and well-spoken. Dinardo DID NOT want him doing interviews behind the helmet.

Yeah what would he know? He was only on Bama's coaching staff at the time.

So he has no incentive to give all the credit to the Bama coaching staff then!!!

Miles was canned because for 2 years he promised to re evaluate his offensive scheme and change it. And for 2 years he flat out lied to his boss about it. That's why he was fired miles lost 2 games or more in every season but 1. 2 and 3 loss seasons didn't get him fired that was the norm for him.

Booger is trying so hard to hot-take his way to a better gig. It's desperate.

With Saban's team

It wasn't Saban's team. Miles was the head coach. Saban quit in 2004 and skeedaddled out of Baton Rough as fast as he could at the end of the 04 season.

Maybe you meant to say with saban's players, like so many other knuckleheads here on the rant like to claim. If that's the case, whatever success Orgeron has next year, be sure to come on here and give Miles the credit he is due.

Kendall and Arden would have started.

Beckwith and Foster together on that defense would have been insane.

Well in that reguard coach O took the exact same team and out preformed Les even breaking records with an offense that was as stagnant as can be under Miles. So that argument is very thin. Of course you can hang onto it and defend it but it'll be hard to do with such overwhelming data in Ogerons favor.

So youre ok with 3 losses as long as the offense plays like you want it to?
You consider 2015 as a bad season and we lost 3 games.

The best coach of our generation with by far the most talent loses every year. Its no some huge failure for lesser coaches to lose 2 or 3.

I'm not ok with it I'm just telling you why miles was fired. I think we have to win the division this year or we are going to continue to slide. Think about this.. What happens when arranda and Canada are gone? If Ogeron doesn't do something really big before that happens we are in Barney Rubble trouble.

Agreed. That was my biggest gripe with hiring O. I didnt want a HC so dependant upon his coordinators for the gameplan.

I never said that the team didn't perform better once Orgeron took over. I said that if people want to continue to claim that Miles won with players that Saban had, it's only fair to use that exact same way of thinking in regards to Miles and Orgeron.

Truth be told, I never looked at that way. Miles came in after Saban and it was HIS teams that won 114 games over the next 11 plus years. As far as I'm concerned, whatever the football team accomplished after September 24th, is all due to Orgeron and his coaching staff.

But it's people like you that want to shite all over what Miles did while he was at LSU. Downplay the good stuff and never miss a chance to point out the bad. Keep up the good fight youngster.

I'm just gonna ignore the personal attacks and not get into what that says psychologically about the truth of the argument. You're certainly right to give miles credit for his early success but there is an argument to be made for the contrary. Especially when you consider those first 3 seasons were 3 of his 5 best over a 12 season span. That's no coincidence and while yes miles recruited very well he wasn't nearly as capable recruiting the spots that matter most. The line of scrimmage. So yes of course you have a strong argument but there definately is another side to that coin.

I feel the same way but with Alleva and Alexander in charge I think we pieced together the best group we could considering. I love coach O how can anyone not but there's no data to convince me he's a championship level coach. We have Arranda and Canada 2 A+ coordinators and lesser head coaches have won with this formula (Chizick and Coaker come to mind) so there is hope.

Please point out the personal attacks. Is it when I called you a youngster? I know you're somewhere near 20 years younger than me, so I called you a youngster, big deal.

Is it when I said that it's people like you that want to shite all over Miles accomplishments at LSU. You know full well that for every one thing positive you might say about Miles and his tenure at LSU, you say 10 things negative (or more) about the guy.

I see absolutely no personal attacks in my post. Perhaps it's just easy to hurt your feelings.
