Atleast Bo did beck for Bass to handled the point on one occassion in the last game, when Bass had passed it to him.I hope he increases that notion.
Bass seems to respect the veteran, but Bass has got to take over.
Bo should be working on his shooting he can't afford to drift to the side before he comes back down to the floor, the drift creeps into the shot but,he doesn't realize it. His shooting is his ticket and LSU's chance to have a decent season.

I've only seen him once this season, but he looks a little small for SEC play.

Yeah, Advocate he is a little small, but he could still be effective if he would ONLY DRIVE TO THE SIDE TO FINISH WITH HIS RIGHT HAND and if he's being challenge hold the defender off with his left shoulder and sometimes he would have to,
Sort of jump into there chest while in the air, then bring layup, up with his right.

His shot is built for long range, he starts close to his head and over the front of his head, and aligns his shoulder under them , which puts his body under ball(less stress on arm),to get distance; his shooting arm is correctly, straight up. This alignment calls for his feet to always be turn to a comfortable angle(almost 30degs, he can't be feet careless). If he concentrates on his shooting and alignment, they will have to watch him behind the NBA distance 3's

I hated the way Bo looked his freshman year. I loved the way he played last year. He's turning the ball over this year but he is still a very good basketball player. Even if he turns it over an avg. of 5 times a game he still needs to be left in the game because we have no other guards on the bench besides Bass. Bo can shoot lights out and can stretch a zone. He's having a tough time handling the ball right now but he will come around. We need him to step up his game come SEC time.

Bass needs to show he can consistently hit an open jumper before we can commit to that, otherwise as ASU did in the second half they'll use his guy to double everyone else and the offense will stagnate.

Because I agree Bass is a better prototypical point and Bo is a good shooter when he's squared and in rhythmn.

But until CB can make defense's play honestly I don't think we can commit to that lineup mix.

Bo will always have a tough time handling the ball because he is not a pure point guard, he hardly ever bought the ball upcourt when he was at glen oaks. he is a streaky shooter, when he's on he is pure silk, but when he's off he can't create shots for himself and thats always been his MO. If he plays within himself and within the framework of the offense he can be very effective, but if he has to create for others that is not his game. JMHO

I said this at the beginning of the year. He's showing signs of a young, gasp, Tack Minor.

I'm confident he can turn it around

Well, Bo can shoot significantly better than Tack...Tack never showed any consistency in that regard.

But he does really need to make better decisions in shot selection and ball handling and distribution.

He has started this year obviously with the mindset that he has to do more offensively, whether by instruction or taken upon himself I have no idea.

But for whatever reason it has led to him trying to do more than he's capable and doing this quite often.

but I don't think our offense runs nearly as well with CBass on the bench.

I went to the game yesterday, and it appeared to me that Bass was very shaky and looked uncomfortable. I just don't think he is nearly as good as some claim he is.

No. 1 - that's still probably better than Tack.

No. 2 - that's a small sample size and the year is far from over.

What did Spencer shoot over a full season last year? Whatever it was Tac never came close in his best season.

+1

Bass very rarely takes chances, just catches the ball at the top of the key and swings it to the other wing. Every now and then will make an entry pass.

His lack of scoring is a major deficiency. He's a serviceable backup at best.

He's got a pretty good handle and blazing speed. This year we may need him at the point, but I doubt he sees the court more than ten minutes a game next year.

Why is Trent allowing this guy to continually jack up 3 point shots?

I know we dont have much to go with as far as options, but there is no reason for Spencer to be taking shots he cant make
