Not saying we should take a whole hell of a lot from 2 games, and I would say Blue is still a fairly unknown commodity, but Washington wasn't "really bad" last year.

Hill all day. Better blocker, better vision. COMPLETE back. Blue does have better top end speed.

And people are forgetting about Terrance Magee. Hopefully he will go off this year.

Just think blue could have played on o or d. guy was a beast on special teams. he was the better blocker as well, but hill came around, cant really bkame him since he was a frosh.

Blue saw pt in 2010 before ware and ford. And then was the starter in 2012 before he got hurt in the idaho game. Again just a well rounded football player.

Blue runs like Eric Dickerson and Hill runs like Earl Campbell.

Take your pick.

Wow! Two bad comparisons. And if you think this is a close call you're a poor evaluator. Blue is good, but he's no where near the back Hill is.

Blue is a good back. A talented back that is versatile. He can do everything well, including not missing his assignment and being in the right place. Hill still has some learning to do on several things, thats why Blue was the opening day starter last yr. I really like Blue and his running style, my kinda back. Can he stay healthy is the only concern with him. He should have some terrific runs next yr if he's 100% healthy. He will have plenty of LSU fans thinking he's our best back. 3rd rounder.

Hill is a great back. Just look at his stats against the big boys last yr. He is outstanding, maybe the best we've had since the 70's. 1st round talent.

This.

Those that think Blue is great or that he is even close to Hill make me wonder if they have actually seen any of the games.

The coaches went into last season thinking Blue was better, not that that matters or anything

This is the point that I keep thinking about. From just the "eye" test, I'd say Hill looked better. But that being said, there's a reason the coaching staff had blue listed as the starter.

I never thought Ridley was that great of a back. Until about the bagillionth game in a row where he quietly got his 22 carries for about 125, never fumbled, made the right blocks, etc.

Ridley carried that 2010 offense. Most underrated year of any RB in recent LSU history.

I think they are two good comparisons. Not judging who is better cause I enjoy them both.

Alfred Blue is to Eric Dickerson as Jeremy Hill is to Earl Campbell. Both have good feet/ change of direction. Good acceleration & power/ toughness. Hill is just much bigger/ heavier.

Hill looked much heavier than 235 last year.

Hill is better than blue. There probably aren't 5 NFL GMs that would draft blue over hill

The kid is a star, a first round talent.

Blue is much better than Hill. A 2 time felon will not rack up a lot of yards if he is sitting in prison. Hill was already on probation and then to do what he did tells me even if he just gets a 2 game suspension, he will do something again in the future. Time to kick him off the team now.

Fans hate uncertainty. See all the offseason anxiety expressed on these boards as proof. Blue has looked really good in limited action, but Hill seems like a safer bet because he has had more carries and performed well against some big name SEC teams. Blue may well end up being just as good or even better, but we won't know that until he carries the rock for an extended period. A lot of folks can't wait long enough for him to have a chance to prove it.
