Another douche bag post. How about you wait until what you are spouting comes true. The bad thing about these comments are when you are wrong all we hear are the birds chirping. So how about STFU with your negativity!

blue will make the switch only if he has ball security issues. he will be used much like a young richard murphy by catching out of the backfield, but he'll be a rb for awhile. really like the versatility and heart of the 3 backs in this class. i think they all stick at rb for now. blue is going to surprise you guys who haven't seen him. wouldn't shock me to be the mo clai of this class.

Always hoped he'd end up on defense

With all the RBs/WRs we signed this class and who are committed/expected to sign in '11, some of them are going to have to move to defense if they ever hope to see the field. I have no idea who, though.

btw, I like all our guys, but I think 5 RBs is too many for 2 consecutive classes.

Where would you have played R.J. Jackson?

You gotta think that he should have been tried at OLB at 205-210 lbs.

But you have to have those skills to play LB too, I suppose.

I don't want to open another thread but:

Anyone else here agree that Drayton Calhoun at least could be a second string RB in the ACC?

I am impressed by his north/south running style. He's got speed too. I hope he finds a place at RB in certain situations....especially if he can catch out of the backfield.

Not to bash the "so called source", but until Blue is officially switched can everyone STFU. The kid is not even on campus and not one coach has said he will be a WR to the media and people are PISSED about him not being a RB. I say let's find out the REAL DEAL before everyone starts the melt down, you would look less like an idiot.

Dude, you gotta calm down.

This is a board that lives off of speculation. That is what it is, fella.

Maybe you should just read the Advocate if it keeps you from getting offended....Yeah, that is what you should do.

my post was not directed so much to you "dstone12" as it was all the douches freaking out over a move that has not even taken place.

and I am not the one who needs to chill. I don't mind specualtion, but it is the people who freak out over specualtion and want to bash a player or coach for something that has not even been done is what pisses me off.

I see Blue going to do defense think about it:

Ridley
Ford
Gore
Ware
Magee
Hill
Hilliard

and That's just the running backs...

This

This board is getting over run with it.

If people here were really fans they would want LSU to succeed with what they have until LSU made changes..

I wondered if it would be better for LSU to replace Coach Miles, but then there would be this many negative posts about the new coach too.

Really sad.

I'll stay optimistic and enjoy LSU sports, thats my right as a fan...

Said this in another thread, Calhoun's expected level of play as a RB was wayyy overstated by LSU fans. Calhoun just wasn't that great as a senior in HS. He was supposed to make big plays as the wing/slot RB, and didn't make that many. Their FB, who was also a great player, broke a lot more big runs than Drayton. Now, Drayton is a good kid with great upside, so who knows. But to think that Drayton could just go to an ACC school and be penciled in as a reliable RB is fantasy.

any of the backs could switch a position. seems ridiculous to pinpoint one kid who hasn't even had a chance to prove himself yet. relax.

In watching Blue's films, I thought him too lean(especially in the legs) to be an effective SEC RB, and he had the knifing moves of a SE, thus seems very logical.
