in mny opinion we should thank King and Allieva for staying composed and landing the best possible coach, under the circumstances, that we could get.

Youre fricking stupid if you think a career dline coach was the best lsu could do.

Yes it has. We hired a career dline coach. The entire sec is laughing at us. The story of his hiring is in stone. Its over.
Grandad i love ya but this hire is the worst possible thing lsu couldve done.

You and i have ran as many successful defense and programs as ed orgeron.

I doubt that... But hey YOU said you could have gone 5-2 with this team after Miles was canned....

ANY statement you make from now on is garbage..........

There's nothing to blame. Alleva had a good solid coach in his back pocket and used some common sense for once and hired him. LSU didn't settle. They got a good man. Everyone bitching about it is a little bitch.

It's clear the administration had no clear plan once firing Miles

And this is where Miles, with his promises of change, fricked everybody over.

Of course, that's really no excuse for frittering away a two month jump on the search process.

Exactly. I guess I didn't make it as simple as I originally meant to

Just shows how little you know - about anything. Given the cards and the players LSU did a remarkably professional job of hiring the head coach. They quietly stood up to Fisher's ridiculous demands, and quickly told Herman not to play games. For those two it was about money and career. How long would either have remained at LSU? Herman would have been gone as soon as something "better" opened up. Once they sized up the situation, the offer was made to a man who isn't about money and his career is all LSU. I'll take a man who wants the job over someone looking for a career move. Saban should come to mind? Good job F. King and Joe. Well done.

Unfortunately it's our culture now. It isnt just LSU leadership that has failed us.

Im just grateful that there are a select few of you that really "get it." There may be hope yet

Holy shite. We hired a career dline that has never ran a successful offense, defense, or program. If youre ok with this hire youre the reason we will never reach Bama's level. We hired a guy that wasnt a good enough coach to be offered lsu's dc job. We hired a coach that wouldnt get interviewed AT VANDY, KENTUCKY,OR MISS. ST.

Yeah great job hiring the most unqualified coach in big 6 history. Never has a big 6 sec program promoted a fricking position coach to hc.

I never stated how I felt about the hire. This is about leadership.

How do you think F. King and Joe made us look last year?

After firing Miles mid season, do you think they prepared adequately for the after math?

Did they seem at all prepared for any of the process? Does athletic success seem like a priority to either? What is your level of confidence in them? Is your level vastly different than everyone else? Is perception important?

I stated that after the first 2 whiffs, that their hands were tied; however, its the process that led to that decision that concerns the rest of us.

My god. What fantasy land are you living in? Of course it is about money and career with the top coaches. Why do you think they do it? A top coach would come here and stay here if you pay them what they are worth because there are no better jobs in college football. Fisher was worth the money. Herman was negotiating. Both were smart enough in the end not to come to work for a couple of idiots, so we settled for a career dline coach.

Alleva screwed the search this year

How did he screw the search.
Jimbo not interested in coming back after last year's F King's hand job and denial.
Herman was out as soon as the Texas job opened. Out of Alleva's control so not his fault.
There was no home run hire among Holgerson, Fuentes, Fedora et al.
The gumbo was cooked last year with Alexander, not Alleva.

King and Alleva have both failed LSU, athletically and academically. Both need to Geaux! You cannot lead and make decisions solely on the basis of public opinion. Leaders must have the courage to make courageous decisions. Neither of those gentlemen have what it takes to lead an institution like LSU.

Johnny Jones loves LSU, how's that working out for us? I very much want Coach O to be successful but the odds are stacked against him. We can hope for his success, and cheer on our Tigers, while still acknowledging the search was as big a disaster as how the Miles situation was handled the end of 2015.

That's only scratching the surface. Mainieri gets a contract extension for under-performing; women's basketball is a joke and even Tiger Band can't go a year without controversy.

I love my university and will always be FOREVER LSU but where is the leadership? There is none. Need to clean house.
