Born in 1960. Odessa TX born and raised. Played for Permian. When I played, water was viewed as something to wipe the blood off your practice jersey. I played with a broken foot and dragged my arse on the field because we had such a small team and were forced to have players go both ways. I'm not going to hold back in my viewpoint that players today are spoiled and all about themselves, because they absolutely are. And if you want to shite on me for having that opinion, then go ahead. But deep down you know its true.

Okay, I half-wondered whether you were real with the OP but this locks down that you are trolling for clicks and downvotes.

And you were a little careless. If you were indeed born in 1960, then you “played for Permian” from about 1975-77.

Permian was coached by John Wilkins then and reached the state finals in 1975 and the semis in 1977 in the biggest classification in Texas. They suited up about 60-70 players and had no need of playing somebody with a broken foot or playing people both ways because of a small squad.

That’s just fricking dumb.

You might have pulled it off if you claimed you played six-man football at Strawn or some other tiny spot. As it was you gave yourself away. Lol
