I mean I would think that if a player can get good enough at something that the NFL would want them to do that then it would help out the college he is playing for in the process.

He got handled Sunday...not a good look for NFL purposes. Put him back on the edge, and move him around some.

He wants to develop as an inside LB. He requested the move, demanded the move, whatever you wanna call it because he knows he's too small to be an edge rusher at the next level.

Don't tell them ant better. Let them think Kelly can just play Perkins wherever he wants without Perk's wants in mind. There won't be a Perkins at inside or edge because he won't be at LSU.

Perkins maybe should go Pro. His absence, in the way he is being utilized, would make no difference.

Perkins designed out of position and maybe our best CB on the bench. Meanwhile our HC telling the world we are going to kick Seminole arse.
He should be in politics.

How important, exactly is a college education when the family 's dreams are all wrapped up in the multi-million dollar NFL contracts?

You would be surprised how many mother's want this for their children.

Who is our best CB, and how do you know he's our best CB?

Not saying its the case here but with the portal, players probably have more of a say so in where they play.

Agree. Realize these guys use college like minor league baseball to prepare for the NFL and sometimes "assurances" must be made, but ultimately it's not the job of the college coach to prep these guys for the NFL.

A great many college coaches are paid MILLIONS to win for dear old STATE, not prep some guy for the NFL draft.

This probably helps recruiting. Looking after the player’s best interest. Or at least that is the intention.

Perhaps Kelly is trying to strike a balance between the desires of the player and the need of the Team ! Perkins has the option of either going somewhere else to fill his desires or going pro early !
