IF we dont check out of the the run when they are stacking, doesn't matter.

Nuss has to see it, check out of it. It would be different if he starts to keep some of the RPOs but that LB or safety will continue to come off the corner.

While we all on the Nuss Bus saw good things coming this fall, opposing defenses facing us with a non -"Heisman House" alumni figured a drop-off at QB [and receiving with two first round receivers gone] Passing Stats allowing them to scheme under the belief that loading the box would make LSU's offense one-dimensional with the predictability of passing completions somewhere in the mid to high 50% range. They were planning based upon Analytics.

I also think we have more "runs" called in the game but Nuss has a presnap read where he can take the quick slant or hitch if he sees it. So it's a presnap RPO as opposed to him reading a defender post snap.

Just like last season, it’s a shame our Defense is lacking

Top 50 D and this team is scary

Idk, there is a reason NFL teams still line up with the QB under center in the I , its because it is a better formation to run out of. Taking every snap out of shotgun made since for JD as he can run the read option and is a major threat to run or pass it though we didnt really run that much read option even with him. JD was just so good that it didn't matter what play or formation you called , he was going to make it work. I think our issues running the ball are a strategic one.

Brennan was unlucky because he played a great, gutsy, game vs. Missouri which ultimately proved to be his final game. But to say he was "destined for greatness" is a stretch.

A friend of mine never really got over Brennan not getting the job in 2022, he was devastated. Kept citing his stats in the games he did play that whole year and I still don't think he was over it even last year it's just Jayden did so well he couldn't really say anything.

I kept telling him from all the reports I had heard not only was he not the best option but that he was behind Nuss too and it was pretty widely agreed upon by folks in the know and at practices. He couldn't accept it.

Teams are still really trying to stop us from running the ball. Nuss has feasted in part thanks to this.
