Bit of Context - 2018 Recruiting

This is not a sunshine pump post nor is this an excuse. Every coach on the LSU sideline apart from the special teams coach should refuse to take their salary for the past week. However, this will probably be the worst team in O's career here. LSU normally recruits at a top-8 level at worst, and this class was the worst class we've had at LSU in modern times. Ranked 15th.
24/7
Out of these 22 players, three have been great (TMjr, Chase, Damien Lewis) and a few have been serviceable (Curry, Hines, Traore). This is the bulk of the team though. These are the veterans we needed to rely on, and the majority of them have just let the team down.

Everyone pointed to this class and this year as being a down year if the young talent in the 2019 and 2020 classes couldn’t step up.

The current sophomore class should be strong enough to keep LSU upper echelon based on their ranking. There's no excuse for getting boat raced like we did yesterday.

The worst class in modern LSU history is really showing its face.

We had just gotten off a season where we lost to Troy *and* the state was down in talent.

But he’s going to recruit and have the best coordinators.
Well can’t blame O he had a shitting recruiting class and has shitty coordinators

One awful recruiting class is not a reason to get rid of O, especially when you see the level of talent he has brought in the past two years and the monster class we have coming this year.
I'm not going to defend his coaching hires because they are inexcusable. Linehan is Cam Cameron 2.0

Sure, let’s forget joe fricking burrow & cole Tracy lmao
Or Dare Rosenthal & Damone Clark both who are nfl players. I think Jaray Jenkins is too

Joe and Cole didn't sign at NSD, so I didn't include them.
If you think critically, you can see the purpose of this post is to talk about the players that came as freshman that aren't playing as juniors. This class has failed to develop. But okay Lester

I agree Lester. Those two guys are definitely providing depth right now on this year's team

The point is that those guys are gone and your left with a true Junior class of 10 guys. With all the departures last year you have very few Seniors.
That's bad. A lot we're transfers and JUCO in 2018. That's a bad habit to get into and it's showing itself.

What recruiting class is joe burrow in then? I’m just curious

This. I've always had a little bit if a theory that if you want an idea if how good a team will be, look at the recruiting class that will be going into its junior year. This team reminds me so much of 2008. That team did at least get a solid bowl win and les made the dc change in the offseason. We will see what's in store

It’s not a habit, it’s was done because they needed to improve fast because & the best season in CFB history happened because of it.
The class on its own will yield 7,8 maybe 9 nfl players, including the best QB, WR , & K LSU has ever had

Burrow, Tracy and the DB Alexander were in this class along with 2 JUCO OL that are gone. O did a good job with the class and it's better than the recruiting rankings shows.
I think the point the guy was making is that O was trying to rebuild the program quick with experienced guys and he did. But now it's void of experienced players due to numbers.

Where is the QB that should be a redshirt Sophomore and pushing or beating out Brennan ?

That’s a lazy take & terribly untrue

No you’re not. I can think of several more truthful adjectives.
