DT play and which MLB plays.
If we can plug the middle we can win. If they are getting 4 to 5 yards on first down we are f****d.

Usually the way it goes.

Agreed. You have to force Nick Marshall to throw the ball down field.

The young guys are going to have to pick up on the read option in a hurry.

I think LSU will be able to bottle up AU to an extent on most running plays. The problem comes when they bust the huge plays 25, 30, 40+ yard runs. LSU is statistically the worst in the SEC in giving up big plays.

masterly call the plays for time of possession.

Tom Ritter - The SEC's worst Referee.
If Tom Ritter is there as the head ref we will have to over come him in addition to the Auburn football team and Les's run up the middle game plan.
He screwed us at Auburn before, against Bama, etc.

I would not count on this at all. Still, maybe the O can generate a lot of points...

Nick Marshall can throw the ball down the field.

He can throw it but that's not what he's best at. Need to make him beat us by throwing the football.

The older I get, the more I realize I just really fricking hate people.
By the way, thanks for the revelation and wonderful insight to the keys to the game. I'm going to start calling radio shows this afternoon to spread the brilliance around. I will not give you credit for it.

Put Harris in a position to start strong and fast vs 3 and out.

I've been watching and playing football for longer than I care to remember. I've seen many theories: out rush the opponent, 3rd down conversion %, and win the turnover battle(always has merit),win TOP,better field position, RZone eff.,limit and make big plays, etc. The one that works every single time is to out score your opponent. I'm not being an arse here. I've seen teams win and lose on all these aspects of the game. If the opponent fumbles in the end zone and you recover you get just as many points as you do with a 99 yard drive.
Every one including myself like to be analysts, but in reality no one knows what will happen in a given game. Last week everyone knew LSU would win...talent difference way too much for NMSU...Auburn and LSU...probably fairly close on players.
I just watch the games and try to enjoy them....and yes analyzing everything as it happens.

What about turnovers?
What about Welter having his best statistical game against them last year?
What about?

Forcing turnovers on defense, and not turning the ball over on offense.
Making Brandon Harris as comfortable, and as confident as possible throughout the game, so he can play well in a hostile environment.

IMO (which obviously doesn't mean shite), Ball control/field position (i.e. manageable 3rd downs and converting them). With our poor Defense against the run, we need to have long sustained drives keeping Marshall and Payne off the field.
