I don't see anything gold on LSU normal uniforms. I see purple, white, and yellow.

There are two different types of gold color. Just like there are different types of copper, silver, etc. There once was a time when the shade and tone of metals could not be replicated with paint.

I thought about it seeing UW's colors and our SEC title flags above S. Stadium.
Our yellow is iconic. If we went old gold, we'd look identical to UW, and others. Our colors also look like mardi gras gold, which I think is fitting.

I prefer UW gold by far. Their uniforms are one of the very best in the nation. Our yellow is hideous. I realize it's tradition but it's terrible. Also, the yellow in one of our end zones is a completely different shade than our helmets and pants. And the purple on our jerseys is a completely different shade than on our helmets. Who designs this stuff for us?

You have obviously never painted anything in your life you can take the same color purple and it will look different painted if you painted it on plastic, fabric, or grass

You mean Washingtons gold vs LSU yellow? I dunno. I'd like lsu's to be a little bit richer and the purple to be a shade darker. That's all I know.

LSU's. Not a big fan of the old gold stuff. Too many teams have it, Boston College, UCLA, UW, Notre Dame, there may be more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I liked the pro-combat unis with the gold helmets. That said, they could be wearing chartreusse for all I care as long as they're thumping the opposition by 5 scores or more every game.
