He definitely would've worked the count better than Bianco and I'd trust him to get a base hit before Bianco.

Work the count maybe, but you can’t trust either one to get a hit. You’re hoping for walks with both of them.

His OBP was .08 higher than Bianco’s. He puts together much better at bats.

But but but tRant said he needed to be out there because of Stevenson. Dugas being hurt and JOBERT GOING 1/whatever hurt this weekend more than anything else.

I just hope Dugas and Doughty come back. Doubtful but maybe it happens. Both can improve their draft stock

Bianco hit 0.139 with 0 HRs and only 4 RBIs this year. He started a must win game as a corner OF… a non-defensive position. Think about that.

Doughty cannot improve much more. He’s gone. And I mean he’s already a very high pick.

Bianco misjudged balls today…. Making the play look better than it actually was.
0-3 with with 3ks…. correct me if I’m wrong… on 11 pitches is just freaking abysmal!

What has Bianco done besides hit a homerun and show a little bat flip for his daddy years ago?

You can’t convince me Stevenson does worse than Bianco anymore than I can convince you Stevenson would have done better.

Btw you can go 0-5 and get on base every time. You can’t go 0-3 with 3 strikeouts and get on base every time…..well you can but it’s a hell of a lot less likely to get on base when you strike out ever damn time.

He started because Stevenson couldn’t make the plays in a non-defensive position, and was hitless all weekend.

Think about that.

Stevenson was 0-2 with 2 strikeouts last night. He has 31 strike outs in 82 plate appearances. That’s not good, just to be clear.

I can’t believe this stupid thread has gone this long.

People acting like our options are Mike Trout or Ken Griffey Jr.

Stevenson and Bianco both suck.

Y’all are exaggerating the frick out of Stevensons play last night. We only scored 4 and let a walk on go 5 innings. That was what cost us last night.

Him letting balls drop cost 2-3 runs alone. It is what it is man.

Ol Jobert argument eh, that fricker didn’t get a hit either. Him Bianco, Stephenson it doesn’t matter. If Bianco was in left field last night, we wouldn’t be playing tonight. Stephenson cost us at least two runs with his shitty arse reads on balls.

fricking Pearson screwed that up. Where’s all the Pearsons haters at? Haha. He sucked arse, and then took a shitty as route to the hit that allowed the winning run to get to third.

TP I agree on offense it hurt, but not on Defense! last nights starting leftfielder had at least three misreads on fly balls several looked uncomfortable to him. A few runs scored on different occasions of not getting to the ball

He was the hero last time he pinch ran. Now you want to throw him under the bus.

Oh the irony! Surely you don't think it was serious comment about his dad.
But the part that he was a travesty on the field yesterday was fact. He had a horrible day. But I blame the coach..Bianco was no good all year at offensive production and simply played up to his stats.
Just a dumb move to start him, period

Most frustrating at bat of the game was Pearson after Bianco's leadoff walk I believe in the bottom of the 5th. All he had to do was lay a bunt down and the top of the lineup was up. He went to the plate with no intention of bunting. Pulled back on 2 buntable pitches, Bianco gets thrown at at 2nd, and then he strikes out.

I'm thinking it was a hit and run, but he didn't attempt to bunt/hit.
Bianco seems slow, and I say that because it wasn't a great pitch to throw a runner out.

Just a dumb move all the way around
