Just makes sense. This is the “good ole boy” hire. Gotta remember that. They will hire someone with previous ties to the school and state. Even though Mulkey was the best choice, she had all the ties. Grew up here, son played here, etc etc. Neither McDonnell nor Vitello have the ties. As bad as I want it to be one of those two guys it’s not going to be. So here’s to rooting for it to be Godwin. Bianco would just be so underwhelming.

Bianco shouldn’t even be interviewed. If he wasn’t a former player no one would mention him.

Yet, he would be the best choice by far.

Yep. He’s got no business getting a promotion with his results.

There’s nothing that makes him a good choice much less the best choice. We don’t want someone who is well known for constantly and consistently underachieving.

Why? Why is that a requirement?

You'd think the requirement should be "being the best baseball coach we could hire".

Not a chance. Would be a dud hire to satisfy the former player egos.

The only people who want Bianco are those who benefit personally from him being here and those with personal ties. Alx is obviously one of those because he is objectively a terrible candidate.

Bianco has been to Omaha only once in 20 years. The Ole Miss fans don’t even want him.

Why do we have to see 100 of these posts a day….

Just post your random thoughts in one of the other hundred threads on Bianco and Godwin

It’s a good ole boy hire man. There will be a lot of input from people who have been in and around the program for many years. ie Skip, Maineiri, former players, etc etc. This is why Big Ben is hearing it’s one of these two. Big Ben has as good of connections to this program as anybody.
