Happens every time you try to make a simple but effective read/option quarterback into a pro pocket QB.

BH knows the playbook, is a very smart kid, hard worker, and a good kid. Yes, I know these things for a fact.

Not saying that I believe the op to be factual but if an armband is good enough for Tom Brady, give Harris one.

B. Harris still does not know the playbook fully

Before I go into full cliff diving mode, what does "B. Harris still does not know the playbook fully" mean? He doesn't know who the full back is suppose to block on a certain play or he doesn't know where to look for the tight end on a certain play call??

I cant believe a QB on the LSU campus bout a yr. doesn't the play book fully!

Lets cut the guy some slack and not expect a seasoned QB for a 19 yr. old in his 2nd start.

Even if he knows nothing about the playbook he is much more fun to watch than watching AJ executing the playbook.

No your source is extremely unreliable... Ask the players if he knows what he's doing. Of course he will still make mistakes but I will bet anyone on here by the middle of the year LSU will look like a real deal college offense. From game one both QBs will look and play completely different, it's obvious to people that watch. And yes Brandon was behind in lots of areas but it doesn't mean he will be long. Harris still locks onto first read and is quick to take off when it's not there. This will come with more confidence, he needs to throw with more balance and work on stepping up in the pocket. I also believe he will make plays that Jennigs never would be able. He will accidentally find second and third guys while scrabbling or just glancing. Harris should start period IMO and let it ride. You find out what he does best and take it slow with him first. Do what ever it is nessassary to win.

At some point the coaches need to tailor the game plan and playcalling to their best QB's strengths, not keep trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. What's the point of having some elaborate pro-style offense when it takes your QB 3 years to "master it"? Auburn runs like 10 offensive plays but masters them. They seem to do just fine on offense every year. It's also why a moron like Cam Newton can go there from Juco and master the system in one offseason then win a heisman and national title. It's time to simplify this shite. With the talent in place now, it's time to stop trying to play chess and start playing some goddam checkers./rant
It seems that almost everybody realizes this except for Les Miles and few message board sympathizer pumpers.

And please "Cease & Desist" recruiting "Spread" QB's if you're not going to run a full "Spread" Offense. If you're going to continue on with the "Elaborate Pro-Style Offense" then recruit QB's that are a fit for that system.

The QB conversion/learning curve/square peg-round hole BS doesn't work if your ultimate goal is any kind of Championship. (SEC West, SEC or National)

I looked into the mirror and my reliable source said that no one on this board knows crap about anything regarding what Harris knows or does not know in regards to the playbook.

A reliable source (Coach Nubie) told me the real issue is that he just can't grasp The Annexation of Puerto Rico!

Just heard from a real reliable source that B. Harris still does not know the playbook fully

Not surprising seeing that Mettenberger has been the only QB to successfully grasp it in the last decade. We dont need him to grasp it... we need greater than 25% completion rate... and the ability to complete a 7 yard slant... that is all.

The Auburn game was a masterpiece wasn't it?

If the play book is that hard you can't get it in 2 years, the play book needs to be simplified. Brandon is not an idiot. I find this hard to believe!

Was that NMS the best game we had from Jennings?

Probably correct. However, if you can't read progressions on simpler plays, memorizing the complicated plays becomes moot. That goes for all QB's. Either way, it's no excuse for not getting the job done.
