Natty gives it to Reese. Fowles is better player.

Both will have their numbers retired so it’s a moot point

With better coaching Augustus and Fowles likely would have multiple titles.
Keep in mind they had to go up against two juggernauts in UConn and Tenn at their peaks

Pts, rebounds, assists, steals, & FT% favors Reese.

FG% & blocks favor Fowles.

Both were great LSU players.

Reese is the better player and had a better career. Which is crazy to say, but the stats bear it out.

Reese : 18.6 ppg, 12.3 rpg

Fowles : 15.5 ppg, 11 rpg

It'll take some perspective to place Reese historically, but she likely comes in behind Fowles and Augustus as they were four year players. That said, Reese was incredibly dominant and eclipsed Big Syl's double double record, which is insane.

Reese is a FW playing center due to injury. She should have been the 4 to S. Smith's 5. And she has battled some BIG BIGs and held her own.

At LSU Reese was 20.9 PPG, 14.4 RPG

Fowles JR & Sr year to be fair 17.14 ppg, 11.5 rpg

Both greats but Reese is the better player in a different era of faster paced basketball. And has been the number one option her years here. Fowles shared touches with Augustus for 2 years.

UCONN was in between peaks during Syl's career. LSU beat the dogshit out of them in the Elite 8 her last season. SC's current peak is probably higher than what UT was then.

Fowles, and it isn't close. If we would have had good coaching in those days we might have two or three championships. Sylvia will be in the basketball hall of fame at some point.

It's extremely close.

Angel was dominant at LSU, just like Sylvia.

South Carolina has lost 3 games in the last three years in a time where the competition is significantly better than what Tennessee was facing in the 90's and 2000's.

Tennessee has the longevity on its side, but these last three South Carolina teams are better than a lot of those Tennessee teams.

SC is 107-3 the last three seasons. Tennessee never did that.
