None of that is really even debateable.

This is absolutely debatable right now. Waldrep has not been very good this year.

His argument was that Littles numbers were better. They are. Little isn’t a starter. Shouldn’t be a starter. Was pulled from starting at Vandy because he’s not a starter. Yet his numbers are better, so his argument was he’s a better starter.

We’re not defending Little as a pitcher as much as pointing out that Florida has much more major flaws than LSU does. If you were a Florida fan you’d be freaking out with the outings that Florida’s staff has day in and day out. You’re much more critical of LSU which is obvious to see.

Sorry, i shouldve clarified. Its somewhat debateable, but based on previous experience and the k numbers, most understand that waldrep is better. And thats not a slight against ty, im probably his biggest defender on this board.
Waldrep hasnt gone less than 4 innings in any outing, and only one outing less than 5. His k numbers are also ridiculously higher. He is a better pitcher, i have little doubt, despite the numbers

He’s a more talented pitcher when he’s at his best. He hasn’t been a better pitcher this year though because he hasn’t been at his best. He’s been way too volatile.

I figured a baseball guy would understand what it means when I say Floyd is pitching better so far this season.

Which is huge when your bullpen is injured.

I’m surprised Waldrep isn’t their Friday guy honestly

Its still debatable considering floyds last 3 outings.
Look, i dont have much of a dog in this fight, just providing some context.

Sproat and waldrep and both solid pitchers. Sulphur was wrong about sproat being their sunday guy. But they have 2 solid options at the top, like most great teams. Lsu and florida are pretty close with our injuries factored in IMO.

Hurd and bullpen injuries are the reason I give them the nod in pitching

I don’t disagree with any of this. I just found it amusing that he tried to say UF’s rotation is more consistent (they haven’t been) and that Little is terrible (he’s not).

Waldrep and Sproats have ERA’s over 5 in SEC games, Calgilione is over 8.00

Their bullpen is actually solid despite what is constantly repeated here

Never said terrible, but do you really think he’s a weekend starter?

Oh really?

Give me Floyd easily this season. I don’t care what their projections mean as that isn’t helping our team. I’d take Floyd so far.

Floyd in 4 SEC starts

17ip
12er
9bb
7 hbp

He’s a relief pitcher

Options are limited but they should maybe consider Herring
