It's a performance package Ford used on a 1970 Torino.

Beth does seem to still play for the tie instead of the win by having her big hitters bunting with runners on base.

But anytime you take two out of three in an SEC series, at home or on the road, that’s a win. So I’ll just root for her to keep it up and see how the season plays out.

So you generally don't pay attention to the team, yet parrot a comment other people have made in the past.

LSU has their best offense top to bottom in probably 5 years. There are no real gaping holes in the lineup. Yeah, they only got 2 runs in the first game. shite happens. That pitcher was averaging 2 strikeouts per inning on the season and that is what she got. We will be fine.

I don't think she had Clark do that. The infield was playing so far back, Clark probably thought she could drop a bunt and get on base by hit.

Let’s take your best power hitter Georgia Clarke and try to bunt with a runner on first and two outs in the last inning.

This is called Schwarbering. But it is best accomplished during a world series game with no runners on, 2 outs and a 2 strike count.

Clark, from what I understand, is one of if not, the smartest lady on the team. I'm sure she thought about the game situation and realized, even with the D playing back, that she would beat out a bunt with her blazing speed. I guess she also took it upon herself to get thrown out at home in the finale. Beth had nothing to do with either decision.
I've watched her for years make blundering calls while coaching third at the wrong times. She may be a great pitching coach and if she has super talent like the 15 and 16 teams that may cancel out her bad coaching decisions and bring her to the WCWS but that don't come around very often. I have accepted that she won't win a natty and we should be satisfied with regional/super but I ain't happy about it.
Also, yes we are 22-2, great. The meat of the schedule is yet to come. Another mid conference record to look forward too.
I hope I'm wrong.

Sadly, Coach Torina has not had great success since all of Yvette's recruits graduated. The rumor is she doesn't go out in the summers and scout players herself, as Yvette did. Instead, she sends Coach Leftwich to do so. The rumor is that Leftwich does all the on-the-road recruiting. You've got to have a minimum of 2 excellent pitchers to get to the WCWS, more to win it. Plus, several excellent hitters in your lineup. Coach Torina hasn't really had that since she's been responsible for recruiting. Oklahoma usually has one lights out pitcher and a couple of really good pitchers and good hitters throughout the lineup. Patty Gasso has 6 national championships. You don't do that unless you're excellent at evaluating talent and you're an excellent recruiter.

I noticed that the most of next year's recruits are from Texas (Leftwich's home turf) with a couple from Georgia, and not one from California. Those are fine players coming from Tx and Ga, but my question is why is the California pipeline being shut down, which is in my opinion a big mistake?

California could probably put together a HS all-star team that would medal at any Olympic game. Couldn't Sandra Simmons who is from California be put on that task or is that beyond the scope of her present position?

Btw I didn't realize that SC's starting 3b Zoe Laneaux's younger sister is an LSU recruit for next year.

You couldn't be more wrong! Yes, Lindsay carries a lot of the load, especiallywhen Howard was coaching Team USA, but I've seen Beth on the road many times & have spoken to them all.
