Anybody have any suggestions as to the best place to watch the LSU game next Saturday night in the Destin-Sandestin area?

It's noisy, but Johnny O'Quigly's over by the Best Buy, across the street from Bass Pro is always a good place to watch a game. If you're looking for fellow LSU fans to watch it with, I'm sure there will be some there, but I don't know if there is like a local chapter of fans who like to gather at a certain spot.

Sounds like a plan.
Their food isn't too bad either. It's not awesome but if you're plastered you're not gonna care.
There was a Beef O'Brady's right down the road from my house when I lived in Orlando.

Exactly....the Sandestin shuttle runs there. Perfect if you're at the Hilton.

I went to Rum Runner's in San Destin this summer for a buddy's bachelor party. A LOT of hot girls. They had dueling piano bar, and one of the pianists was from Louisiana. He kept playing the LSU fight song on the piano, and pissing off all of the Auburn and Alabama Fans. Very diverse group of SEC fans in general

I live in Sandestin, so first let me say we're glad you're coming, and there will definitely be lots of LSU fans here. As for places to watch the game, others have recommended Beef O'Brady's in the Market Shops (just on the south/beach side of 98 when you enter the resort) or Rum Runner's in the Village. You can get to both using the resort tram, so you don't have to worry about driving if you want to have a few cocktails. Especially if you anticipate going out afterwards, I'd recommend Rum Runner's.
However, personally, I feel that my brain waves have a definite impact on the outcome of each and every play, so I prefer to watch games in a quieter environment where I can concentrate. (I'm obviously superstitious, but aside from my direct impact on the game using my magic brain waves, I also find that I never know what down it is or how much time is on the clock if there are too many distractions; maybe that's just me.)
If you're like me, you should try the Linkside Pub, which is right above the pro shop for the Links golf course, literally right across the street from the Bayside Inn. No one knows about it, and you'll probably have the place to yourself. Plus the drinks and food (bar-type appetizers) are cheap. Geaux Tigers!
ETA: For those of you staying at the Hilton, they sometimes do football parties in one of their ballrooms if they don't have any conferences or weddings booked there. Might want to check with the hotel, although since it's Labor Day they may have stuff booked already. Worth a shot!

I did this option a few years back when I was staying at Bayside.
Had watched a few games once at Rum Runners(upstairs I think) and the whole place was just a crowded cluster fck.
I used to hear people talking about big LSU gatherings at a place in Destin called Twisted Palms. Are they still in business?

No, they've closed as of maybe this spring (?). There's now a Bubba Gump Shrimp there if I'm not mistaken (either that or a Joe's Crab Shack; they're right next door to each other). I don't go down that way too often if I can avoid it during the summer traffic--if you've been here I'm sure you understand!

Without a doubt go to Sammy's. It has great views and all you can eat!
