Looking for info on places to stay for next years' Bama game. Never been to Tuscaloosa. Any help from someone who has been there is appreciated.

Practically everything is already booked. I was looking online the week of Christmas and unless you're an OT baller and willing to pay $500 a night for a red roof inn in Tuscaloosa, then you're SOL. I usually stay in Meridian and drive in the 50 or so miles.

Stay at the Westin or the Sheraton in downtown Bham and get up early and head to Tuscaloosa.

This. frick paying any type of tax to the state of Alabama. Tax money supports their state school.

Gas up, and bring your own food.

Just as others have mentioned, stay away from the lofty priced T-town hotels. We paid $300/night last year for an absolute shithole smoking room. Stay in Birmingham, Hoover or Meridian and drive in.
