Yeah, I was a wee lad back then. Hard to believe it has been that long.

Yall are on crack. Jabari's dunk is seen several times a year. What Martin did today, never happens!

I cant seem to link the tyrus dunk against Arkansas but that one is the best. Hit his head on the backboard.

Tops Jabari's funk dunk, tops Tyrus' slam against Arkansas back in 2006. Wow!

Nah, I think those two are better. But this might be third.

Nobody pulls out the Eastbay in game. That shite was insane. Jabari's is nice because of the fake, but for someone Jarell's size to pull that off is just crazy.

I was there for the Jabari Smith dunk, the house went nuts! Then he stared at the camera like a G! No comparison!!

Yea, the atmosphere for the Arizona game was way better than today for Martin's dunk. Arizona was a much bigger game. Also, Martin was just showing off in an open court, whereas Jabari's was contested and his fancy move is what faked out the defender. Most people don't remember that he did that same move earlier that year in a game against Grambling.

People are completing going in the wrong direction here. The thread is about the best dunk. Martin's dunk was better. Jabari had s better atmosphere and reaction, but the dunk itself was better

It all depends on the criteria. Even from a pure athleticism standpoint, I might still favor the impossible alley-oop by Tyrus Thomas.

It's not even close dude. Jabari dunk all the way. I bet this will be a young vs old kinda deal.

Jabari wasn't long enough ago to be young vs old. I think the Martin dunk alone was better. Given the atmosphere of that Arizona game I can understand

These threads remind me of just how fun a good LSU basketball team has been/can be too watch.

Shaq still has the most spectacular dunks in recent history. Collapsing the goal, another where he completely jumped over an opposing player (of course he ducked some but who wouldn't).

Wide open between the legs dunk vs a break led by a 7 ft center who embarrasses a defender with a fake behind the back pass. Jabari wins, Martin's dunk doesn't beat out stro's windmill on top of the defender. Nice dunk, but those 2 were better because it wasn't a wide open break.

I was at the Arizona game and I was there today. We are talking about the DUNK itself. Not crucial play, atmosphere, nothing. The dunk. A between the dunk legs is WAY harder than a fake behind the back pass. Wayyyy harder...wayyyyy harder

With 2 defenders on a 3 on 2 break? Being you get to tell the defenders how to react to you and everything. Maybe in open court I will agree with you, but with defenders involved the funk dunk wins.
