Tim Lanier was a pleasure to watch behind the plate.

example #539 why you're the biggest idiot of all the idiots here

he let more pass balls than anyone and he was the weak link in the lineup in the regionals that year

91 team was awesome as well with Paul Byrd, Rick Green, Lyle Mouton, Chad Ogea, Armando Rios, Andy Sheets, Mike Sirotka, Gary Hymel.

I love this years team but 97, 96, and 91 were just as good.

Composite bats>>>>>>>>anthing aluminum, including the bats used in 97. The only advantage was the 2 3/4 instead of 2 5/8.

Don't need much coaching in gorilla ball. "go hit the shite out of the ball" didn't need much coaching for 188 HR's.

So a guy with 0 titles is a better coach than someone with 5?

This team this year IMO is the single best coached team in the history of LSU baseball. Titles, Wins, etc have nothing to do with that.

why would you even start a post like this when we still need to win 3 games to win a nt'l championship...hell we're not even in the championship game yet. It's like people calling the 07 Pats the greatest ever before the superbowl...just stupid.

Your point? If people are saying the bats were just - which is what lead to so many more HRs for us, it goes the other way around. ERAs in general were higher back then.

Wow... that's a difficult statement to respond to...

I guess that means that for all those years, including the championship years, Skip just threw the bats out on the field and said "go get em boys"
