The answer is either Sheddrick Wilson, Eric Martin, Wendell Davis or Jarvis Landry. Each of those is where the QBs looked to on 3rd downs.

How did this thread morph from "best hands" into "best receiver"?
This is what always happens. Like I said earlier, I'm sure statistically there have been better receivers. Catching a ball while being draped by defenders is what really impresses me.

I do agree that Landry is up there with IMHo Martin and Davis..above all others. Still, because Landry was mostly a special teams player his Frosh year and second to OJB (or at least even) option this and last year tought to compare. ET was THE target for 3 years and Davis was for two. But 1000% agree Landry is very special

While I can't say for other LSU players before 2005, Landry has the best hands of any player I've ever seen and that includes Larry Fitzgerald. He makes so many spectacular catches on a 6'1 195 frame that it is ridiculous.
Diving, full extension catches, diving catches into double, triple coverage, one-handed 3rd down grabs from laser throws, leaping, body contorting one handed touchdown catches. One handed over the DB shoulder catchers, literally ripping would-be interceptions out of DBs' hands catches.
Jarvis Landry is what people refer to as a human highlight reel.

For the millionth time, best receiver doesn't necessarily equal best hands.

Yeah but the question is best hands not best route running
Keeps getting forgotten.
I will agree with Landry for best hands. I have seen just about all of the names listed on here and Josh Reed, Wendell Davis, and Eric Martin are among my favorites all time at LSU but Juice has made more "circus" catches than anyone I have ever seen pro or college...
And I will add Juice and Beckham to that list above as well. They could come back and give me another year to evaluate the question... Oh Yea
