So we will be in town for our first game, and looking at the parking map trying to figure out what's best. I was thinking potentially at the Law School, get there early and check out the homecoming parade then just bum around campus till the game starts.

Any suggestions? We're staying in Denham Springs, if that matters.

Thanks!

Depends on when you plan on showing up. I wouldn't expect free parking to be available on campus beyond noon

Another pretty good free spot for you is in the large parking lot around Parker Coliseum (Cow Palace). Exit is on to S Stadium drive then onto Stanford/Acadian to I-10. Usually some spots in that lot until mid morning for SEC games. If you wait until afternoon you'll likely be out of luck there.

Better get there really early.

Last week I parked on Friday night and took Lyft to campus for 9:30. Lots were pretty full at that time.

What has worked for me:

I get to my hotel and check in on Friday afternoon. I will go and park my truck in the housing lot on the corner of Alaska and Aster - and then I'll get Uber to come pick me up and go to dinner, etc. Saturday when I'm ready to come to campus I will get an Uber and then after the game is over I just walk to my truck and leave. Getting to IH-10 takes maybe 5-10 minutes.

Some people will say not to leave vehicles there, but I haven't had any issues yet in the 2 years I've been doing it.

This. Generally if you are there by 11 for a night game you can find something.

Do y’all know where the parade starts and where does it get on S Stadium?

I got ya homey. FYI This was legit 2 hrs before UGA last week. I was even shocked after 10 yrs parking here.

The July street neighborhood is extremely safe(literally a brpd on corner all GameDay), free to park on right of way. And 1 mile walk(go thru apt complexes. Humans can Wiggle thru very loose vehicle gates. Very common and not frowned upon). If toting ice chest just hit the pedestrian exit button and let them through.

Like I said, This secret honey hole has never let us down in a decade and had plenty free spots 2 hrs before kickoff Saturday.

Ok. If I get caught because if the parade or if Parker is full I will hit it up. Thanks.

It's also the easiest way out and on 10 heading west. You can turn around at Louise with no issue if heading back East.
They key is to get to E lakeshore light at (Dalrymple exit). Turn left on Dalrymple and sit in the inbound contraflow maybe 2 min to enter the neighborhood at March Street. Park close to that corner May@July by the back entrance to 3000 July Street apartments. The old man sitting at the road is just stopping cars from goin down the private road. Pedestrians are totally fine.
Just Don't use I 10 west to exit Dalrymple. Get off where traffic backs up and use Southdowns/Dales or Perkins if not backed up (it was for UGA).

Yall Pickles welcome. I don't mind sharing this info now that UGA game didn't fill up my secret honey hole.

My kids and Baby C walking the path last year like Reservoir Dogs.

Parade Route
It comes straight up S Stadium about 30 minutes after it starts, so if anyone is planning on parking in the Ag Lot, definitely need to be down S Stadium and in the lot before that happens, or you will be stuck waiting for it to clear out past Highland

The best free parking is found in my driveway. I’ve got the best bathroom lines too.

Old front nine is probably one of the easier walks to game. Parker coliseum is good. If you live anywhere east or south then the levy lots are nice, albeit a nice hike. You can head down to lauberge to get out which is fastest contraflow ive seen. Same with old nine, it shoots right down Burbank, just go to starring and up Essen to get out, don’t mess with college.
