Oh please. Tommy would've seen ZERO playing time had he been on any LSU team from 2008-2011.

then the athlete can't be considered "all time". that would mean that, if your choice was patrick peterson, then he would have to be the greatest defender in 50 years from now. all time, right?

so........the title should read, up til now.

That's great. The level of talent on the field is astronomically higher than it was then. What Tommy did was great, sure, but the game is so much different.

Tommy would get smoked in today's game.

Thats like saying Pistol Pete wouldn't be as good in today's college basketball.
Basketball is a little bit different than Football when it comes to physically & athletic ability. Pete would've been fine in today's game.

hard to tell. growing up with a fricking egg crate for the helmet cushion, no water breaks at practice, and a diet that only parents in the 60's would feed their children HAS to play a factor. if he would have grown up in the 90-00's, things would have been different i'm sure. if he had the same heart and drive that he had in the 60-70's, it would be hard to argue that he wouldn't have been twice as good.

imagine if tommy was exposed to the weight programs that current players are exposed to? i doubt that st. michael's high school in crowley had a weight room the size of john curtis'. nor did they have the weight program as it wasn't pushed back then.

Yeah...let's just assume that it was a natural phenomenon that white people stopped playing skill positions in football

your assuming that he would have played cb? after working out with modernized shite, it's possible that he would have been moved to safety and............that could have made him a 4 time all american.

Sure

Hilliard:
Seasons: 4
Games: 44
Rushing Yards: 4050
YPC: 4.6
Rushing TDs: 44
Rec Yards: 1133
Rec TDs: 6

Fournette:
Seasons: 3
Games: 32
Rushing Yards: 3830
YPC: 6.2
Rushing TDs: 40
Rec Yards: 526
Rec TDs: 1

Considering that Buga played in 12 fewer games & had very comparable stats, I don't think I need to explain further how Fournette was a better RB than Hilliard.

Well, Dalton Hilliard played for LSU from 82-85. I'm not sure what you're getting at, champ.

I sure wish Peterson would have ended up in KC this season with a shot at a title and be able to play along side Mathieu. Would be awesome to watch.

you sound like a female. I like females but they seem obsessed with selecting "what's your favorite", "who's the best ever", type of comments.

there is no such thing as the one "best" defensives LSU player of all time. we've had great players at all positions, defense or offense and it doesn't make sense to only select one as the "best"
