Ben Simmons returned for the BKN Nets tonight

He did this in 18 minutes.
Say what you want about Ben but this is a mighty impressive stat line. Simmons was an All NBA caliber player and one of the best defenders in the NBA before a holdout/injury occurred. You can point to his unwillingness to score, but basketball is more than scoring sometimes.

He probably could have developed an adequate shot by now, not necessarily a jumper but a spot up corner/wing guy, just didn’t put in the extra work. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (among others) tried to reach out to him and apparently he didn’t even get back to him. Plus he truly seems to have a complex about actually trying to score. Not a great combination. Does most everything else really well.

I’m sorry he made 3rd team all nba once.
He was extremely overrated at lsu and his first few years in the league and never developed or improved on the offensive end in the least bit. And a lot of it seemed to be do to a lack of effort or giving a shite.
A player with his size, skills , coordination etc… should have been perennial 1st /2nd team.
