I think Ethan Pocic could be a great addition to the basketball team. With his size, he could be a Robert "Tractor Trailor" Taylor type player. Our basketball team could use some edge, and I think Pocic is the one to deliver it.

In all seriousness, Ben Simmons is the consensus number 1 pick in the NBA draft. Lets say his stock is crushed somehow and the worst case scenario is top 3 pick in the NBA draft. Why in the hell would he even think about picking up a football? Jimmy Graham wasn't even good at basketball for Miami. This is why this post is being so ridiculed.

This is something I haven't even considered. With our financial situation I think giving out less scholarhsips in order to save money is something we should really be looking into. If we pulled a tuba player out of the stands, I don't see how a kid with as much heady grit as Ethen wouldn't be able to at least match that production. Not to mention basketball is probably a better way to stay in shape than 12 oz curls in Tigerland.

That may be the case, but with all these academic/character issues coming to light, eckspecially in 2016 when it's better to be PC than good at your craft I could see him fallen out of the top 5 or 10 spots. USA Today puts him somewhere between 10-15 on the 3rd team. Plus I know most people given the choice would rather spend NFL money than NBA money. The NFL dollar is just a little more respected given all that the league has done as a non-profit.

I think Ben is a little too thin to play football. He'd get broken like a twig in SEC play. I would love to see Blakeny line up opposite side of Malachi Dupree and have the option to throw it up to either side.

Guy has a huge standing vertical and I could see him being a Mr Go Get It type of wide out in the league. He's got chest, which is why I'm surprised Les never gave him any looks. I can't help but think we are really missing the boat not having multisport athletes.
