I didn’t realize Big Ben called MLB games. His broadcast career is taking off, everyone loves him, what a Great LSU and Louisiana representative

He's a very good analyst. I've enjoyed him immensely!

I love hearing him call LSU games. So much insight from a pitcher’s perspective

I agree no doubt
Plus he doesn’t come across arrogant and conceited like many former and current athletes do,
He’s also really good at explaining things about the game without getting too technical

Fourth straight season he's been calling Orioles games. He joins after the CWS.

I played baseball one year. Sophomore year of high school. I didn't care for it very much. Football was my sport, and I thought baseball was just too boring.
Ben has taught me so much watching LSU these past 5 years that my view on baseball has taken a 180. There is so much going on in every single at bat, every single pitch. He's an amazing broadcaster.

I didn't play past T-ball. But I watched a minor league game with my dad last year, and he was impressed with the things I told him during the game. Some of it is from BPB and the game threads, but a good part is from listening to Ben do most of our home games. There’s a lot that the pitcher has to think about that most fans don’t consider, and Ben is great at expressing it all in a way that viewers can understand.

If I had to work on the broadcast team this year for the Orioles, I would probably quit too.
But yeah, Gary is one of the best.

Yea I'm sure he flies in for the series that he calls and then flies back to LA.....the team probably has an apt for him in Baltimore I'd guess.

Flies in to call games then back to La
Glad they still cherish Big Ben up in Baltimore.

Once he got through coaching his kids in travel ball he was able to get more involved with SEC Network and ESPN for college baseball and with Orioles after that commitment was up.
