We would have hit that given we missed a fg, missed a pick 6, and missed 2-3? deep passes that were walk ins.
Very astute fan!

Bo didn't have no fancy pants helmet visors back in his day.

Its amazing that LSU was able to keep all these great coaches on the staff for all these years under the Head Idiot. All these great coaches on staff and we put the grass eater in the front. He might be the luckiest SOB to ever coach college football. A mediocre coach at Okie Uni Jr College gets the head coaching job at LSU following Nick Saban? Really. WTF was Skip thinking?

Given the latness of Saban's departure, the pickings really weren't that great.

Amazing talent on LSU's coaching staff that was ignored, all because Miles'chose loyalty to Cameron over production.

Who knows....he might have and Ensminger might have turned him down b/c of the meddling he saw
The high scoring game against Mo. made one thing obvious, that Les Miles' meddling was a hindrance to LSU's offense.

Thats what I gathered from Skips interview on the radio show recently. Either way though there should have been a plan B. If an okay coach from Oklahoma State was your plan B, youre doing it wrong.

..that should be the goal every game.

Cool! Ensminger just waited and when the opportunity came knocking he was ready. Give him credit for hanging around and "learning." I never really liked Cam anyway. He was the undoing of Miles IMHO.

I guess a&m's undefeated season doesn't count?

Trust me on this one, this is the kinda failure LSU fans are willing to live with.

Maybe you could start a "Bash Miles" thread and let this one continue to be awesome.

Neither was Cam.

Ensminger hung 77 on Rice, he knows how it's done, first five passes of the game went for tds, all five to Carlos Carson I think

Younger LSU fans would be hyperventilating now, if they had saw Ensminger throwing in that game.

yep, that was fun to watch, Mac even had a couple of plays where Woodley wood line up as a wide out, or take the snap, make a pitch to Alexander and then end up catching a pass in the opposite flat

Yes. Listening to Skip's interview, Saban really hurt our chances of getting anyone much better than that at the time. Saban requested to be given until the bowl game to ponder about it. At the very least, he asked to be able to coach the game and be able to talk to the players. Skip caved in and delayed the inevitable by at least a month.

The team looked fantastic last Saturday night. By far the best effort all year. But LSU scored over 40 points in 17 games starting with the 2012 season, and scored over 40 points 5 times last year.
So if Miles meddling was a hindrance to LSU's offense, how does that explain all the games the past few years where LSU scored over 40 points?

2015
Team Total Defense Rank (128 teams)
Auburn 71
Western Kentucky 71 (Tied with Auburn)
South Carolina 95
Eastern Michican 123
Texas Tech 127
Missouri is currently #82 (421 YPG). I don't know what they were ranked prior to the LSU game but they were averaging 367.75 YPG before LSU. That would rank them #46 this week.
Missouri is still ranked in the top 50 in scoring defense (22.3) PPG. Prior to LSU it was 18.75 which would be top 25 this week.
2014 - 40+ against Sam Houston State, New Mexico State, Kentucky
2013 - 40+ against UAB, Kent State, MSU, Furman
2012 - 40+ against North Texas, Washington, Idaho, Ole Miss
