i know i posted this on other thread, just threw out there again.

i liked the 2005 team.they showed a lot of heart hanging in there all season when they had people staying in their dorms (from what i herd) having to play through all the distractions katrina brought to la. and doing all this without a by week like the rest of the ncaa had.seem to me they were tired and drained emotionally all season ,under normal conditions they would have had a shot at the NC. just my opinion.

not to mention was miles first year.

It just hit me this is my 36th year of watching LSU games. Went to my first game when I was 10. Damn I am old.

I think '03 and '07 were both pretty special the way the Tigers got into the BCS game. '03 was a complete suprise and I was stunned that Sunday when it was announced we were going the 'ship. '07 was cool since I went to the Ark game and thought there was no chance after that loss.

I thought the same thing. Wonder if we'll ever see another 2 loss team in the NCG??
I sure did like how that game went.

haven't missed more than one home game a year since i was 7 years old and the 07 season was the best of them all. Ive never seen so many up and downs. Watching everything happen for us after we won the sec champ game was incredible.

yes...you can't beat going undefeated and winning it all. It hasn't been done in my lifetime.

I will agree about '07.

'01 deserves mentioning though...I remember roadtripping down to ATL for the SEC champ game from my college, which was full of UT fans...no one gave LSU a shot at beating UT....my fraternity brothers were booking hotel rooms to see UT in the Rose Bowl play for the NC asking me why I was wasting my money to go watch LSU lose....

Rohan's injured, Reed's injured, Toefield's injured....guys are burning redshirts in the SEC Championship Game....and we won...with confidence and authority that has been the trademark of LSU football since.

It's funny to think back to Mauck's game with hindsight...never would have guessed he was a National Championship QB. It's the game and the season that put LSU back on the national radar.

What a great day to be a Tiger fan!

My favorite part of that season was the call in show after the arky game. LSU hopefuls were calling in to the post game show with possible ways for us to make the MNC game. The two jackass hosts (no names necessary) told people they would not be answering any more calls regarding LSU and the MNC game, becuase there was NO WAY LSU COULD GO. We all know what happened.

I still liked the 1987 team best of all. 10-1-1, tied as SEC champs (prior to the East/West divisions and championship game)., Next, the 2003 & 2007 teams.
