I think there's some validity here to what you're saying. Only issue I have with it is how do you know that PM didn't say something to Beau? Maybe Beau just went Beau.

I think you nailed it. IMO, this team needs a little edginess and fire. But, you can't have one of your main leaders flipping the pitcher off. PM probably figured an upperclassmen with lot of experience wouldn't go that far. That is if we are assuming PM didn't say anything before hand.
