One gabillion percent my opinion as well.

Both teams of course "wanted it more."

One team made the plays to win, the other didn't.

But that wouldn't be hyperbole, so ESPN producers give this task to resident tool, Robert Smith.

LSU is the unanimous #1 team in the country. And Robert Smith is who?

Just win, baby.

THIS would suck. Lose to Arky, no SECCG and only 2 schools per conf allowed in to BCS ... we'd be out as Bama & Arky would be in.

11 - 1 and NO BCS game for us.

Here's to that NOT happening.

Excellent point! PSU still has tough road matchups w Ohio State and Wisconsin. They could easily lose those 2 games..... then 'Bama loses in the computer rankings.

I also noticed Brad Edwards missed the boat on the OU-OSU Big 12 championship game comment. Oklahoma (assuming they win out) will not have that game this year to help their cause (and they will need it) if they beat Ok. State.

On the other hand Oregon does! If they beat mighty USC convincingly and blow out whoever they play (which they should) in their championship game it's very possible we will see LSU-OU (as in Oregon) in rematch for BCS championship game! That would be just fine for me.

I am thinking the same way. Will poll voters jump Oregon over Bama if Oregon beats USC and wins the Pac12 CG? How will computers react to Bama playing only one more fbs game against Auburn, while Oregon has 3 more fbs games, following a win that is better than any Bama win?

LSUmatt- help us out here.

Not only out of a BCS bowl, but would have to watch Alabama, Oregon, and possibly even West Virginia, all get in one.

Only people in Louisiana like lsu. Nobody else could give a rats arse about Louisiana, lsu, quirky les miles, who we beat, how we beat them and what we are about. Nobody cares about us and they never will.

The sooner you get used to it the better

Right. You want to talk about "flukes" and "should-haves" how about that fricking Vandy debacle for Arkansas. At least do some research Craig.

Brad Edwards is wrong AGAIN! I swear, it amazes me that this guy is considered the BCS "guru".

He just said, "if Arkansas beats LSU they win the SEC West". Because of the tie-breaker scenarios, Arkansas has virtually ZERO chance of winning the West. Their only shot would be to beat LSU and also have Bama lose to Auburn.

Bama's other problem is that even Auburn is not a good argument point. Auburn got gang- raped by LSU, UGA, and Arkansas. Unless, Bama does the same it will actually be a negative. If they do, the country will go "meh".

I think Bama needs Arky to beat LSU and hope LSU falls behind both of them in the BCS rankings.

Otherwise, they need a number of teams to lose to get in as a non-conference champ.

If they don't make the show exciting, who will watch? They certainly pulled the chins here.

We beat bama in t-town. If we have a re-match & bama wins, do we have a 3 rd. game to see who the best team is?
