Even with all the hate out there, Jacoby has contributed to 9 of our 17 total SEC runs.

His play has turned around after a slow start.

Jacoby has been solid since his slow start. Really need Nola to turn it around

Yeah, as unquestioned every day players, they need to improve. Nola is just slumping and I expect him to do a lot better in the coming weeks

I think NOLA is an average hitter. Not a knock on him but he is out there for defense. Everyone knows hanover aint going to hit 10HR's but I figured he would hit doubles out of this world. I am still optimistic for this season but the SR's need to step it up.

Nola's avg in SEC play last year was .273, definitely not great but much better than he is starting out this season. Hanover went .260 FWIW

Nola was a great hitter in high school and has steadily regressed under the tutelage of Javi Sanchez.

The majority of the rant:

Don't worry, it's baseball

It's just one game

But but he's won a NC

3-3 after these first 2 series doesn't give me confidence that the team will have success at UF, USC, Kentucky, and Ole Miss. Hope they prove me wrong.

Thanks for the update, Boh. What about home runs? How many has LSU hit/how many given up?
TIA

Against Miss St, they hit 3 homers and we hit 1 (Katz)

Against Auburn, they hit 1 and we hit 1 (Jones)

I agree. I also think Sciambra has hit a bunch of balls hard.

If he picks it up to the point where he ends the SEC season hitting .273, he will have had a much better final 8 series than first 2.
