Alll this shite is disturbing. Typical Louisiana. I bet all the ranters can't wait to actually talk about football for a change. IMO JL will manage fine, we lose the run dynamic with jj, but we can block 5 on 5 with JL cause we don't need to keep an rb or te back as much.

Been in law enforcement for 14 years and this jj issue is laughable. They could have swabbed jj when he went in for interview. This is a media ploy. Go catch real criminals

I think what is not laughable is the fact you have been in law enforcement 14 years and think the JJ issue is laughable. They may have received some evidence or information after the interview that then warranted that they obtain DNA evidence. Now go play in the traffic on your motorcycle and let the real professional law enforcement officers do their job.

Reassign them if divisions matter so much Lord knows the homicide team needs some help.

Homicide team needs help from the community. Kinda hard to get anywhere with an investigation when neither side "heard, saw, or knows, and won't say" anything to the popo...which is the case in most of the BR homicides.

You're an expert on investigation proceedures now?

How do you know that BRPD doesn't have the videos? Just like the rest of the self-entitled little whinny asses in this country, YOU have no rights to any of the information. Just because you or we as the public doesn't know what the police have, doesn't mean they don't have it.

I've been assaulted by a Baton Rouge PD officer, and he told me go ahead and say something, because he has lawyers who will protect him for free. He was C Kelley Badge number 1853.

You probably deserved it.

What are they not investigating (enough) because of this?

Maybe nothing...we don't know.

That is the whole point. People are bitching and complaining but they have only a fraction of the information on dozens of things related to the investigation process, the results, the fight itself, etc.

Umm, numbnut...the Chief is a civil service position...once he is in, good luck getting him out...doesn't matter who got him in

It is still a cost to the BRPD then factor in the overtime hours because BRPD staff are working on this and then have other crimes occurring which need to be worked.

Again, this is an inherent flaw in your thinking...you are assuming that it would be the same team of investigators working those other crimes.

Baton Rouge residents should be pissed

What Baton Rouge residents should be pissed at are LSU players who caused this in the first place. It is not the fault of the BRPD but SOME LSU players. There were some LSU players who followed the rule and they are the real leaders on the team.Don't give me that old tradition BS.Are we to punish the ones who followed curfew but broke so-called tradition.Quit trying to rationalize their bad behavior.Choices have consequences and the players made their choice now the can get ready for the consequences. No excuses.

No offense officer, but DFW isn't exactly the runway model of a crime-free community, itself....

So what you are saying is that the Police Chief is on some type of "witch hunt", right??

Well, what exactly should they do if these charges stick? Let the person who did it go?

Yeah- that would certainly help the lad later in life.

I'm sorry- but I'm not going there. The day wee start putting football ahead of our principals is the day we are TRULY fcked.
