I may have played in that league years ago before I blew my knee and started coaching my sons team.
Do you guys play at the local high schools, and some out of state? Also Goldsby field?

If so, it's a fun league and you get to play with and against ex-college and minor league players.

Not out of state, but we’ve played at goldsby, port allen, and woodlawn in recent years. And we need players, league is getting slim.

I'm fairly positive that's the same league, we only played on Sundays, and we only played out of state once or twice, was something our "manager/coach" set up as a fun weekend.

Good luck finding players, I can attest it's a fun laid back league, good to see it surviving.

If I wasn't a youth head coach now I'd consider getting back in it.

What is the age group? 18 to 8 ?

...That 8 was supposed to be an infinity sign. I guess it didn't work with the formatting of this site.

Locke still run that league? Late 2000’s that league was huge.

Josh,

I played in the 2000s on the Orioles. Best year was when we brought in the New Orleans’ teams. Fun League.

I’m interested but in my mid-30’s. I’ve definitely lost a step or 2. Played some in my late 20s and was probably one of the better players in the league.

Over the last few years I played around 8 Class A softball tourneys but would be interested in playing some live baseball.

Can I use my 97’ Easton Redline. Or is there a length- weight ratio (ie-5, -3)?

Sounds fun but I doubt I can make contact anymore.

Now, anyone needs a slow pitch softball player I am down.

Do they still have the 35 and over league?

I played for the Red Sox in ‘05 in the 18+ and I was 8 years older then the next oldest on the team. We lost playoff game by one run that would’ve put us in championship game at Alex Box. Unfortunately, the champ game was cancelled and never played due to Katrina.

Was going to play in fall league 35+ in Denham in ‘16, but the August floods canceled the season before it even started.
