How do all those players stand?
Seems as though all of this is regarding nba and nfl guys
Also haven’t there already been former hoops players that were overseas pros come play college hoops?

The policy only applies to Luis and Niang.

I am just a dumb southerner. Explain to my little brain why its ok to play pro sports in europe and be eligible but ineligible if you play pro sports here.
I know the access to teams is limited but so what?
And explain the differrnce between an amateur athlete in the ncaa and s pro athlete please. One is paid and the other…… is paid.

That’s the point.
There is no clear professional distinction between European league players and NBA players. There is no professional distinction between college football players and NFL players.
The NCAA has lost arguments on who is professional and who isn’t. NIL made the distinction even less clear.
With 5 for 5, the NCAA abandoned amateurism as the eligibility policy. 5 for 5 is age/experience based.
The SEC and B1G reverted back to an amateurism based eligibility policy today.
