I'm not for removing them completely, I just think they are in a terrible spot at the moment, they don't need to play at every damn stoppage, and the bball brass should play some current music that student would respond well to every now and then and before the game.

One thing I mentioned tonight is that I would love a new arena. The PMAC is old, and the design is fricking terrible. There are probably as many, if not more shitty upper seats than lower level seats.

The pmac is a terrible fit for campus. But they renovated it only about 8 years ago. I would love to see an arena built that fit more into campus... maybe a modern looking ag center.
Plus the pmac is too big. Take out a couple thousand seats in a new arena and make it a rectangular arena.. not circular. Rectangular brings the crowd closer to the court.

I always hated the band in gyms in high school, and I hate bands in the college arenas.
They should have music played through a PA.

There also used to be twice as many (relevant) people in the band for men's basketball games.
I know they are working on some new tunes, unfortunately its probably too late in the season to play them this year. It should be good for next year though

I think this is a hell of an idea. The band just can't get the atmosphere up as they do in tiger stadium. Basketball is perfect for more upbeat music, and I think the players would respond to more relatable music as well.

They're masters of their craft and all, but I'm there for the basketball game and can do without them. Esp if it means we get better seats and I can stop hearing those bandies try to be funny

At least them trying to be funny makes sense in the context of the game of basketball, same can't always be said about certain other students

During my time at LSU, I can remember maybe a select few games where the atmosphere was decent.
The excitement at high school basketball games here in Mississippi is greater than the PMAC
