Carmouche is a very good player. Offensively and defensively was everywhere tonight.

Funny you mention this. The thing I remember most from Johnny Jones introductory conference was when he said, "the brand of basketball we play will be fun for our players to play, and fun for our fans to watch."

I was very impressed. There is more talent on the floor and the tempo was very exciting. Carmouche impressed me. Hickey has improved. Johnny O looked like a different player. He did whatever he wanted, and even showed a nice outside shot as well. I'm praying he will be ok. The future of tiger basketball is very bright. God bless TCU, and we are lucky to have Johnny Jones.

Bill King show yesterday Top College recruiter rated JJ's class of 2013 in the Top 5 in the country. That is strong.

The talent is better than I thought it would be but it will be night and day next season I think. Carmouche is a nice surprise and I liked what I saw from Hammink in his first game.

Eddie Ludwig. Wow. eesh. He was really really bad, offensively at least.

If this team has a bad shooting night it could be a long game. I think a good goal for this squad would be to win 7 to 9 SEC games and hope that gets em in the NIT.

You are correct. 7-9 wins with NIT berth is what I see for this team. If Johnny O can stay healthy and out of foul trouble we will surprise some people. And yeah I forgot to mention Hammink, he is gonna be really good. Ludwig was atrocious and I have defended him on this board numerous times. He will turn it around though.

He can start by focusing all of his attention on rebounding and defensive and not taking any shots the FTs were really uncharacteristic of him

yeah I told my buddy last night if we're gonna be mediocre (for this season) I'd rather be fun to watch at least.

Exactly. That was the big problem with trent. Even when good, it was pretty dull. So in bad years, you suck and are dreadful to watch. Bad combo there

What really surprised me besides the free throws, which was truly unbelievable, was the bad passes he threw. He is a senior with a good basketball iq. It is as if something was happening in his life to throw off his concentration.

yea free throw shooting is one of the few things he has been able to hang his hat on. the whole team was pretty terrible from the line last night. if o'bryant doesn't go down we probably win the rebounding battle.

We are average at best this season, but reinforcements are on the way. So far, so good for the Jones career. Trent was an unbelievably good disciplinary coach with good basketball IQ.... I wouldn't be surprised if he has success at TCU. That said, I'm glad to see him go. Recruiting is the name of the game in college basketball more so then any other sport. Jones is earning his paycheck so far.

As the old adage goes: It's not about the X' and O's, It's all about the jimmy's and the joe's.
