Huge play on the game

It was the last play in the game before the rain. It was not routine, it was a slow roller that he should have just gotten the out at first. He rushed and tried to turn two to stop the runner at third from scoring.

Why is McMullen not a good leadoff hitter?

I'd take Stevenson at leadoff with McMullen in the 2 hole. Or, let's just go crazy with it

Laird
Stevenson
Bregman
McMullen
Hale
Ibarra
Scivicque
Moore
Robertson

He doesn't walk enough and he has average speed.

Stevenson would be interesting in the 2 hole and laird needs to move down for sure. But I don't think that'll happen since CPM is in love with laird in the 2 hole. I do not like hale in the 2 hole Ibarra needs to be there. I think CPM tried to hide him in the lineup

He'll no doubt hit over .300 and LSU doesnt run so the speed is not relevant to the conversation.

I had him in there but changed it for Moore.

He is not your typical leadoff guy. He has pop to hit doubles and drive runs in, you can't do that at leadoff. Stevenson, now that he's did a 180 from last year at the plate, should be leadoff. I would take Mac in the 2 hole if not Laird

My question mark on Kramer is his hitting. Will he hit more than .240? If he hits around that mark, but draws walks, bunts runners over, moves runners with ground outs, etc. then I think he will still be a good fit in this lineup.

Why is there so much mcmuffin hate in the lead off spot?
Where else could we move him? He works the count and gets on base and is at times an XBH machine.

Only thing that worries me with Stevenson in the 2 hole is that he is an unbelievable bunter and Mainieri will somehow go overboard with it

Because he could drive more runs in further down the order. I think PM keeps him there because he knows McMullen is comfortable there and he doesn't want to frick with his mojo.

Instead of hitting leadoff doubles, it would be nice if McNugget was hitting 2 RBI doubles. I wouldn't mind him in the 4 or 5 spot.

Well, if Laird is lead off then he can get himself into scoring position as far as I'm concerned.

Because Tigerdroppings posters know more than a national championship winning baseball coach.
