I have followed Tulane. They are not. They are very young and not nearly as good as they have been in the past.

no.
If everything falls into place this year, they could be a 3 seed in a regional.
More than likely, they will be on the outside looking in again.

Tulane's pitching seems weak. At least what we've seen tonight.

They just don't have the talent they had before. Jones recruited some stud prospects and all of them went pro. So then this past class he kind of overcompensated and recruited more of your 2-3 star type recruits. They are all starting because there is nobody ahead of them but they don't have nearly the talent that they used to. Being decimated by the MLB draft really hurts a private school like Tulane who can only recruit limited amounts of kids.
To put it in perspective, there is only 1 position player who would have even played on their 2005 team. And their Friday night starter (Conrad Flynn) would have been a midweek guy at best on that team.

they took 2/3 from ECU.. took two from Kansas after Kansas took the series in BR.. and nearly took 2/3 from Rice and Ole Miss.. they arent great, but they are better than mediocre.. = pretty good
