Only worrisome thing to me
LHP
13.2 IP
13 H
6 ER
13 BB
19 K
Strikeout potential is promising. But lot of base runners. Would love to see the RH vs LH splits, cause they have enough arms where they really could just let these guys face lefties
Starters
Henry
Marceaux
Labas
Bullpen
1. Fontenot closer
2. Hill 8th
3. Storz 7th
Hilliard, Beck, Costello, George
LH specialist: Kaminer, Hasty

I have no problem whatsoever with Hill staying in the bullpen, even if he proves to be the best pitcher on the staff. His innings will be so valuable in shortening games and/or getting to Fontenot. The key will be Henry, Marceaux, and Labas giving quality starts and the offense scratching their tails off to get a lead.

Correct, Lester. If the LHs can win their matchups, they could go L, R, L for 3 outs to bridge to Storz, Hill, and Fontenot. Then the game is much, much shorter and arms are rarely taxed.

IF Hill is one of the three best pitchers. And IF he has the ability to throw 80-100 pitches per game, I would much rather him start. It doesn't do much good to have a pitcher get you to Fontenot if you are losing late in the game.

I don't know if Kaminer will be that type of guy. He will get a shot at some midweek starts I'm sure. He is probably the best lefty we have. Hasty is going to have to earn the trust early on, by doing well in midweek/blowout outings I think. So, at least early on, I don't anticipate either being used much in a match up scenario.

I hope Storz can be that guy
He was 89 in the early scrimmages, and was up to 91 recently per scubas scrimmage reports.
Would be nice to get him up to 93-94 by April. I know he was lauded for his big arm coming in

Thanks for the help, I type it in this way but it comes out AFU.
I tried and noticed it didn't matter on this platform so I stuck it in notes and just made it really fast. I should have grabbed my computer and stuck it in Excel. Either way thanks for the info.

Hopefully this doesn't mean we are going to struggle hitting the ball this year

Some of those WHIP’s are off.
Thanks for compiling Scuba.

I don't know what it is about baseball compared to football but I feel like Walker and Hilliard have been here for like 7 years now.
I feel like Jacoby Stevens has been here for a year.. and Chaisson was here for 5 and a half games before he left.

Didn’t even notice in the first time I read the stats, but Marceaux’s 11:0 strike out to walk ratio is super impressive

I’ve heard the new hitting coach has been doing wonders with this team but that our pitching is just that good. We shall see. I know this much, the players and coaches seem to be extremely confident in this group. Playing with lots of confidence right now and having fun. That’s important IMO. You want your group to be close, having fun and playing loose. Seems like they’ve been playing tight the last few seasons for some reason. They were just putting lots of pressure on themselves and I hear that isn’t the case this year. We will soon find out because this weekend series isn’t some cupcake. They’ve lost a lot from their team last year but still a good team to face in the first series. That’s good for our players though.
