Mr. Bay was gracious enough to provide cumulative stats for fall ball. If we get 'em, BayTiger will be the one to provide 'em. Praise.
I will post it at some point this morning/lunch. Wanted to give 2 full weekends before posting it for the first time.

I get the vibe that Edwards may be our closer or at the very least a critical situation relief guy.

Edwards is more likely middle relief. Wes has done wonders with him. I can’t see him as the closer though. You want someone like Collins who has great control. Walking batters late in a game is the absolute worst. Batters are already more likely to be impatient when trying to come back late in games. It’s why so many coaches force the take till you get a strike rule. Have to pound the zone.

The Edwards I saw yesterday could have closed pretty much any game with that first inning he threw.
He was outstanding with pinpoint command and control.
The question is whether he can do it consistently. Haven't seen that yet from him.

I think he's in that category of pitchers Jay referenced when he talked about guys who could thrive in a lesser role. 25 innings out of him 1 at a time might allow his stuff to play up a lot instead of having to go out there with the thought of needing multiple innings and leaving something in the tank.

I would be a fan of this for Edwards.
