So you would sacrifice Norman in this game knowing he couldnt pitch the weekend? Our bullpen needs every good arm it can get.

I understand. I still think it depends upon the flow of the game. He absolutely breezed through 2 innings. I would just like to have seen him one extra inning. You are right though. I don't want to use him up or jeopardize is availability.

I still wish we had an actual 4th starter to depend upon.. but even if we did it appears we would just save his arm for the bullpen in midweek games as well?

If he would've pitched 1 inning, you'd be screaming to see 2 innings. Just be happy we still hitting the ball.

Well of course I would want to see 2 innings.. Screaming would not be the word though. Perhaps disappointed or frustrated. I am thankful for the 2 innings.

I would like to know though. If LSU had a 4th starter guy.. would he still be too valuable for the bullpen in SEC games or would they actually have a 4th starter who was a midweek guy.

Do any top ranked teams have this?

We have 3 decent weekend starters. Some teams don't even have that.

Yes. One of the best looking arms. For some reason they threw the mess out of him until he was fatigued before the season started, as well as a few others. Looking at previous records he has always been a strike thrower.

Anybody have any word on starting again? It's getting close to my bedtime.

Haven't heard anything yet. I'd still wait for an official word, but we may be done for tonight.

I'm monitoring LSU baseball twitter. They usually have the info when it's announced.

I recognize and even appreciate this..

And while I acknowledge and appreciate what we have, surely we can't be the only ones?

My question though is still, if LSU did in fact have a solid option as a 4th starter.. would they still value him too much to use midweek and instead use him along with this current bullpen.

Any ways, I am just trying to be open to all sides of thought here. But since I can't get an answer, it's honestly no biggie. I'm over it.

I look forward to seeing the next pitch now.

Thanks. Hopefully we can get an update soon or have some sort of an idea what to expect.

If Latz wasn't as fragile as a wet Kleenex, he would be the 4th starter, no doubt. But he may never pitch for us again.

if they can wait til 9"00-9:30??

Would they ppd the game & move it sometime in May? Or this is it?

Decent is a hair of an understatement. Poche is very good to excellent. Valek is good. Lange is very good with moments of excellence and moments of ugh...wildness.
