I really enjoy your posts and I can tell you know your stuff...I'm just telling you what I was told by Nick himself! And I also agree with you that I like him much more behind the plate than at 3rd

ULL OF Steven Sensley his 21 that year.

I'm very well aware of that.
I know that. I was trying to add context for the rest of what I was saying.
Unfortunately I can't find a position split from his freshman year at LSUE because of the way they do their box scores.

That was his freshman year...he hit 13 his sophomore year to lead team

Not sure. He went to UHigh too. Was only like 16 years old when he graduated HS. Very young for his grade. Was a helluva linebacker too.

Yes. I know. But he signed before that season.

Sensley went to ULL mainly because of his girlfriend...he's a beast for sure!!

JUCOs also are allowed to play games in the fall although season isn't as long...Nick hit 9 HRs in approximately 25 games and that is what caught Will Davis's attention

I'm just telling you what I was told by Nick himself!

I didn't realize he showed that much power in the fall games.
I know they play them, I had to tell someone a couple weeks ago that in relation to a current commit. I just wish they published the box scores on them. My spreadsheets would have a lot more data on them.

As you can probably guess...Nick is the fruit of my loins and i'm very proud of him! I'm glad he's catching again and he's a very athletic catcher! I was in CPM office when he offered Nick a scholarship, and catching was NEVER mentioned. Nick didn't catch a single game his sophomore season at LSUE (much to my disappointment)...his move to catcher has more to do with Romero's bum shoulder than anything else.

And winning a JUCO Gold Glove as well. If Feduccia gets to LSU, he'll probably push Coomes from behind the plate again.
Small sample size, I know, but in 7 games so far this season, he's walked 11 times, or 50% of his plate appearances.

Nick has benefited tremendously from working with Ochinko and Gibbs as they coach him up on catching position, and he's a very athletic catcher anyways!

Did he play anywhere this past summer that would have stats available on the internet?
ETA: Or the summer after his freshman year?

quote:If not for that, he'd still be 3rd on the depth chart at 3B and 3rd at catcher. But at catcher, he's behind two guys who won't be there next year. And the other two on the roster also play infield as well. Woley can be good there in the future, but he's not at Pap or Gibbs level where you can expect him to take over completely as a sophomore (it was expected of Pap; that just didn't happen).

He did not play anywhere over the summer...he enrolled at LSU and took summer classes and worked out every day

If Feduccia gets to LSU, he'll probably push Coomes from behind the plate again.
