I really think you can fill those question marks in for 2B with Bianco for next year. His fielding was solid af and his hitting came on late in the season. His leadership will be necessary for the Omaha run as well.

Hate to see Jack Merrifield is not on this list. Jack, from Dutchtown, is as close to a Jason Williams type as Ascension Parish has had since JW left for LSU. He works at his craft everyday and is a high energy guy, who has developed so well at LSU-Eunice. He is a better "BASEBALL PLAYER" than some returners.

I Really like Merrifield despite the fact he is struggling in summer ball. Although one is a projected infielder & the other an outfielder im still going with Josh Pearson as the most productive offensive position player of the incoming freshman/juco class. Major power. Even if his average were to hover slightly under some other incoming freshman (which im doubting) , that power is irreplaceable. Should without a doubt have the highest slugging % of the incoming freshman. I think this kid is gonna be a star. (All just my opinion, although im sure many here would agree).

Yupp, I agree. I also think a 100% healthy Gio is your 2022 starting CF as well with Drost and Pearson on his arse if he doesn't perform.

Gio will not be on the team in 2022. Just accept it
Gio has been appointed to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Yeah… sounds like he’s gone.
