There are some who remember when LSU had one set of uniforms, and the locker room was concrete block, no air conditioning, and nails to hang the clothes and uniforms on. The coach (no assistants) washed the clothes, drug the diamond, got paid, at the most, 7500 per year, had no place to practice in the fall, because the football team practiced in the outfield, recruited whatever he could find, with no time to go out and see high school players, rode the bus everywhere with the team, and had baseball players living in the old, old Pentagon.
