if i'm not mistaken, it was a broken hammett bone in his hand that kept him out most of the year.

and that homerun was probably the most famous play in college baseball history. you must not be very old not to remember that

I am 46. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember he had no HR's on the year and he was hurt. I remember we were down 1 with 2 outs in the 9th. I just didnt remember the specific injury and I was watching it live.
If that makes my fanhood a little less bright then so be it. I still love the Tigers and I still think Warren Morris is the shite.

Was that the game where one of the Cora boys cried like a little tit because he thought he was going to be the Hero of the game?[/quote]

Damn, yer old!!! But not quite as old as me or Cherry.

WM broke a hamite early in the season. That HR barely got out over the RF porch. Look it up on youtube under Warren Morris Home Run. And that was little Alex Cora crying like a baby at 2nd base...runs in the family.

TigerBite is right.

Brad Wilson was on 3rd. He led off the 9th with a double.

The Westerners.

Runner on 1st, 1 out...

Low, 1-0...
In the dirt, 2-0...
Riedie is nowhere near the strike zone...
Ball, 3-0...
Strike, 3-1...
Double to right, 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, had runners hung up, but both got back safely...
