To me 17 out of 81 is not good for a catcher. I know there are variables that skew that number, but I would love to see a catcher that can gun them out 40-50%of the time

the first person i saw him try to throw out two hopped nola. this last one wouldve hopped a good five feet short but nola ran out to catch it in the air. and neither were close to getting the runner out.

Its not good, but if LSU starts holding runners this year, Ross can get close to that number IMO

I thought he was solid last year, (pre injury) even though we didn't hold runners on.

I agree josh. I am referring to the last few games. And you are right, a lot of our opponents' success in SB% was because our pitchers did not hold runners close.

Grambling sure is destroying our pitching.

Gibbs? He never had a great arm but a lot of it wasn't his fault. Pitchers his last year played a big part in that, IMO...

Hopefully pitchers can help out. I just don't like thinking every time they steal I expect them to be safe

I left after the 6th I think, so I did not see these throws. From what I saw in scrimmages and practice, his arm strength is not an issue.
