I agree. You dont steal there because you risk having 2 outs and/or the throw to second being cutoff by the pitcher to get the winning run at home if he goes.

Sorry, was watching on my phone and just saw the ump obviously pointing to home plate as he ran towards the dugout. Couldn't really tell if he touched or not. Not sure why he was pointing then.

The other thing to consider is that had Freeman stole second leaving first open USC might have intentionally walked Duplantis given how many hits he had already had today. Crazy to consider given the next guy in the lineup but USC would have been foolish not to walked a man to have a DP opportunity.
