Everything you said was fundamentally sound baseball. But, I think most peoples' opinion is that you just shouldn't have said it. Don't you think that Leon knew he should've hit a fly ball to drive in that run? I mean, I think we can all agree he was giving it his best to put the ball in play and get the run home. Unfortunately, he struck out. I think everyone is just saying that more than likely Leon, as well as most on this board, knew that his strikeout came at the wrong time. No one needed you to imply that he wasn't clutch and that he missed a big opportunity.

Yes we all know a single with runners on second and third scores more runs than a solo homerun but do you understand how big it was for this team to get off to a good start and get an early lead? After last night's game, we needed nothing better than a quick run and that's exactly what Leon's first at bat gave this team. got it Chief?
